26th Annual 5K Tater Trot
The 26th Annual 5K Tater Trot takes place in Spring Valley, Ohio, in conjunction with the 48th Spring Valley Potato Festival on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The course uses the Little Miami Scenic Trail bike path and passes through the Village of Spring Valley. The event location is described as just off US Rt 42 midway between Waynesville and Xenia, and five miles east of Bellbrook on St Rt 725. Registration is held at Walton Park at the shelter house.
Special features listed for the event include a potato soup food voucher and live festival entertainment. Awards are planned for the first male and female who establish the course record for 2026, and the first three finishers in each age category receive a Potato Festival award. Age categories are: 10 and under; 11–15; 16–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; and 60 plus.
Early registration information notes a fee of $35 and includes a T-shirt plus a potato soup coupon, with an early registration deadline of 09/25/2026.
