Spring Run Off
The Spring Run Off is an annual running event held in the town of Cove, Oregon. Organized by the Cove Education Foundation, the event generates funds to provide scholarships for local high school graduates and grants for classroom enhancements. The event takes place at the Cove Ascension School and proceeds regardless of weather conditions.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km
- 1 mile Fun Run
The courses utilize the Umatilla Loop of the Tish Croom Nature Trail, which has been featured on OPB. This route consists of a dirt path that follows the edge of town, providing views of the surrounding mountains. Both distances include segments on this scenic natural trail.
The race is professionally chip-timed by Eastern Oregon Sports Training. Registration includes a t-shirt for participants who sign up by the early April deadline, while remaining shirts are distributed on the day of the event based on availability. On-site registration is available on the morning of the race. The event is open to both adults and youth participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
