Catherine Creek Classic : Union, OR (August 1, 2026)
The Catherine Creek Classic is a long-running road race first held in 1987. The event includes multiple distances on a slightly downhill course. The finish line and staging area are at Union High School, 540 S Main St, Union, OR.
Distances include:
- 1 mile
- 5K
- 1/2 marathon
On-site registration and buses are used to reach the remote starts for the 5K and half marathon; the 1-mile begins and ends at the high school. There is no parking at the 5K or half marathon start areas and there is no post-race transportation back to the starts. Bathroom facilities are available in the small gym near the high school. Half marathoners have access to restrooms at Catherine Creek State Park during the race; there are no formal restrooms at the remote starts.
Registration fees for individuals are listed per distance. Family registration options are available at tiered prices for groups of three or more. Race shirts cost an additional fee and must be ordered before July 20 to better guarantee availability. A limited edition collector pin is available for purchase. Medals go to the top three male and female finishers in each race category; ribbons go to the top three in each age class excluding overall winners.
