Catherine Creek Classic
The Catherine Creek Classic is scheduled for August 1, 2026 in Union, Oregon, with the finish line and staging area at Union High School (540 S Main St). The event marks its 40th edition; the race began in 1987. The course is described as scenic, slightly downhill, and fast.

The 1 mile starts and finishes at the high school. The 5K and half marathon require bus transportation to their start locations; there is no parking available at those starts and no transportation back to the starting lines after the race. Bathrooms are available in the small gym near the high school. There are no permanent bathrooms at the 5K or half starts, though half marathoners may use restrooms at Catherine Creek State Park during the bus ride and on course just past the 5-mile mark.
Water stations are placed approximately every three miles on the half marathon course, with one station on the 5K course. Individual registration fees are listed as $15 for the 1 mile, $25 for the 5K, and $35 for the half marathon. Family registration packages are offered at tiered rates. Race shirts are available for an additional $20 if ordered before July 20; a limited edition pin is available for $6. Awards include medals for the top three male and female finishers in each race and ribbons for top three in each age class. No refunds are available for inability to participate.
