Event
The High Valley Half is a point-to-point half marathon held on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The course starts in Cove, Oregon, and finishes in Union at the Eastern Oregon Stockshow grounds. The route is mostly on gravel and includes nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain.
Course and logistics
Runners start at Dollar's Corner and head west, then turn left onto High Valley Road after about 0.5 mile, following that road to the finish. Aid stations with water and fuel are located just after miles 4, 7, and 11. Restrooms at the start are limited to one facility in a laundromat; there are restrooms at the finish and none along the course. This is a point-to-point race with no shuttle back to the start, so participants must arrange their own return transportation. Gear left at the start will be left in an unattended pile and available for pick up until late afternoon; unclaimed items and clothes left on course will be donated.
