High Valley Half
The High Valley Half is a point to point half marathon that begins in Cove, Oregon and finishes at the Eastern Oregon Stockshow grounds in Union. The course departs from Dollar's Corner, follows High Valley Road after a short stretch out of town, and is gravel for most of the route.
The course includes nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain. There are aid stations with water and fuel located just after miles 4, 7, and 11. Restroom facilities at the start are limited to one laundromat unit; there are restrooms at the finish but none along the course. Participants should respect private property adjacent to the route.
Logistics notes provided by the organizer: packet pick up takes place on race day. This is a point to point event with no shuttle back to the starting line; participants must arrange their own transportation. Gear left at the start will be collected in a laundry basket at the finish and available for pick up until late afternoon; items not collected or left on the course will be donated to local runners.
Registration details include a registration cutoff on the evening before the race and a cutoff date for race t-shirts with registration of May 31, 2026. Race day registration is possible but does not include a shirt or a guaranteed medal and the price increases by five dollars; cash, check, and Venmo are accepted on race morning.
