High Valley Half
The High Valley Half is a point to point half marathon in Eastern Oregon that starts in Cove and finishes in Union. The course begins at Dollar's Corner, turns left onto High Valley Rd about 0.5 mile in, and ends at the Eastern Oregon Stockshow grounds in Union. The route is on gravel for most of the distance and includes nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain.
Logistics note that packet pick up occurs on race day beginning at 6:15am. Restrooms at the starting area are limited; there are restrooms at the finish but none along the course. Aid stations with water and fuel are located just after miles 4, 7, and 11. This is a point to point race with no shuttle back to the starting line, so participants need to arrange their own return transportation. Any gear left at the start or along the course will be donated to local runners.
Registration details: the listed entry price is USD 76.87. Registration closes on June 25, 2027, and race day registration is available without a shirt or guaranteed medal for an increased price of USD 5. Race t-shirts are included with registration through June 5, 2027. Payments accepted on race morning include cash, check, and Venmo. The event is organized by Run With Purpose Racing.
