Event overview
The High Valley Half is a point-to-point half marathon in Eastern Oregon that starts in Cove and finishes at the Eastern Oregon Stockshow grounds in Union. The course begins at Dollar's Corner, goes west out of town, and after about a half mile turns left onto High Valley Road and follows that road to the finish. The route is on gravel for most of the course and includes nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain.
Logistics and services
Packet pick up is available on race day. Restroom facilities at the start are limited to one laundromat restroom; there are restrooms at the finish but none along the course. Aid stations with water and fuel are located shortly after miles 4, 7, and 11. This is a point-to-point event with no shuttle back to the start, so participants must arrange their own return transportation. Items left at the start will be kept in an unattended pile and available for pick up until late afternoon; unclaimed items will be donated to local runners. Clothing left on course will be donated.
