High Valley Half
The High Valley Half is a point to point half marathon that begins in Cove, OR and finishes in Union at the Eastern Oregon Stockshow grounds. The course leaves Dollar's Corner, follows a short stretch out of town, then turns onto High Valley Rd and continues to the finish.
Most of the route is on gravel and includes nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain and corresponding descents. Aid stations with water and fuel are located just after miles 4, 7, and 11. Restrooms at the starting area are limited to a single facility in a laundromat; there are restrooms at the finish but none along the course.
Packet pick up is handled on race day. There is no shuttle service back to the starting line, so participants need their own transportation arrangements. Any gear left at the start will be placed in an unattended pile and made available for pick up until late afternoon; items not claimed will be donated to local runners. Clothing left on the course will be donated.
