The Spring Lake 5 Mile Run is scheduled for May 22 to May 23, 2026 in Spring Lake, New Jersey. The event program includes the main five mile race and separate kids' races. The main race is open to participants aged 8 and older; the kids' races are open to ages 14 and under. The 2026 running is presented as the 48th edition of the event, which began in 1977.
The race is organized by the Spring Lake Five Race Committee under the guidance of Friends of the Spring Lake Five Inc., a not-for-profit organization. After payment of race expenses, proceeds are donated to charitable organizations and allocated for town projects; since 2002 the event reports donating over $4,140,302 to local charities, volunteer organizations, town initiatives and Spring Lake Recreation. Registration for both races opens at 5:00am on Super Bowl Sunday, February 8, 2026. Online registration for the kids' races will open on the same date, will close when the five mile event reaches its limit, and is scheduled to reopen on February 16.
