Spring in the Meadow 5K
The Spring in the Meadow 5K is scheduled for March 27, 2026 on the grounds of Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library at 5105 Kennett Pike, Winterthur, DE 19735. The course runs through the estate grounds and finishes at the Reflecting Pool. Registration opened on January 5, 2026 and standard online pricing is listed at $35, with day-of registration at $45.
Event details, course and amenities
The course includes rolling hills, grassy trails, and paved trails across the historic property. Check-in and bib pick up take place in the Visitor Center Parking Lot at the Picnic House; shuttle service is provided from the finish area back to the parking lot. Spectators may wait at the finish area; access from the parking lot is an approximate 15 minute walk.
Race entry includes after-hours access to the Winterthur garden for the event and the following items: a pint of beer, a Winterthur pint glass, a Philly pretzel, and live music. The event is presented in collaboration with Fusion Racing and Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library.
Competition and awards
Awards are given for Overall Male/Female and Overall Masters Male/Female. Age-group awards are presented to the top three in each male and female age group, using chip time for age groups and gun time for overall awards. Age groups are: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
