Spring in the Meadow 5K
The Spring in the Meadow 5K is scheduled for March 27, 2026, on the grounds of Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library at 5105 Kennett Pike, Winterthur, DE 19735. The event takes place across the historic estate and garden areas.
The course runs through rolling meadows and the cultivated garden and uses a combination of hills, grassy trails, and paved trails. The race finishes at the Reflecting Pool on the estate. Shuttle service is available to return participants to the Visitor Center Parking Lot.
Check-in and bib pick up occur at the Visitor Center Parking Lot at the Picnic House; all participants must pick up their items at the Picnic House before the race. Spectators may wait at the finish area; the walk from the parking lot to the finish is about 15 minutes and does not have transportation provided.
The event is presented in collaboration between Winterthur and Fusion Racing and is held outdoors in the garden and estate landscape. Race entry includes after-hours access to the Winterthur Garden for the event, a pint of beer, a Winterthur pint glass, a Philly pretzel, and live music at the finish area.
Awards are given for overall male and female, overall masters, and the top three in each age group by chip time. Age groups include 13 and under, 14 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
