Event overview
The Spring in the Meadow 5K takes place on Friday, March 27, 2026. The race is presented in collaboration between Winterthur and Fusion Racing and is set on the grounds of Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library at 5105 Kennett Pike, Winterthur, DE 19735. The course passes through meadows and the garden landscape.
Course and logistics
The outdoor course uses a combination of hills, grassy trails, and paved trails across the estate. Check-in and bib pick up occur in the Visitor Center Parking Lot at the Picnic House. All participants must collect items between 4:30 and 5:30 pm at the Picnic House. The finish area is at the Reflecting Pool; shuttle service is available to return participants to the parking lot. Spectators may wait at the finish line but should expect about a 15 minute walk from the main gate, with no transportation provided.
Registration, amenities and awards
Standard registration is listed at $36, with day-of registration priced at $45. Race entry includes after-hours access to the Winterthur garden for the event, a pint of beer, a Winterthur pint glass, a Philly pretzel, and live music. Awards are given for Overall Male/Female and Overall Masters (scored by gun time) and for Top 3 in each age group Male/Female (scored by chip time). Age groups are: 13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
