Event overview
The CDA Marathon takes place in Coeur d'Alene, ID with its main race day on May 24, 2026. The event offers multiple race options:
- Marathon - 26.2 Miles
- Marathon - Early Start
- Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles
- 10K - 6.2 Miles
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- Kids Fun Run - 1 Mile
- CDA Marathon Virtual Run
The marathon course is a Boston Marathon qualifier and carries USATF certification number ID20005LAB. The Kids Fun Run is open to ages 1-12.
Logistics and support
Packet pick-up is available on May 23, 2026 at McEuen Park, 420 E Front Ave, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814. Race Village is located near the start/finish at McEuen Park and will have water, snacks, portable toilets, and hand washing stations. Parking is available at McEuen Park with additional options in downtown Coeur d'Alene and the Coeur d'Alene Resort parking garage.
Gear check is provided for athletes wearing bib numbers; runners are asked to bring their own bag and will receive a labeled wrist band. Awards are given 1st-3rd overall male and female for each distance, plus 1st-3rd in age groups (1-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+). Awards can be shipped for a $10 fee.
Course services and safety
Aid stations are located roughly every 2-3 miles and provide water, sports drink, GU gels, and gummy bear chews; toilets and first aid kits will be at each aid station and in Race Village. Cutoff times: Marathon early start requires finishing within 7.5 hours; the standard marathon requires finishing within 6.5 hours. The event uses city roads and sidewalks with law enforcement or flaggers at crossings. Runners using headphones are advised to use one ear only or bone conduction headphones.
