Spooky Sprint - Excelsior
The Spooky Sprint is the 3rd annual Halloween-themed running event held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Excelsior Commons Park, 135 Lake Street, Excelsior, MN. The event offers two distances and a race along the lakeshore and nearby neighborhood streets.

The course follows neighborhood streets and the Lake Minnetonka Regional Trail. Participants should share the trail and stay to the right. Trail conditions depend on weather, and vehicles may be present on neighborhood sections of the course.
Both 5K and 1-mile registrations include a race bib, timing services, a 2026 race shirt (a shirtless registration option is available), glow sticks, and access to the after-party. Packet pick-up and day-of registration are available at Excelsior Commons.
After the run, an after-party takes place at Excelsior Commons with a DJ, s'mores, fire pits, a hot cocoa bar, and giveaways. Costumes are permitted and encouraged as a thematic option, while standard running attire is also acceptable.
