Spooky Sprint - Excelsior

Spooky Sprint is the 3rd Annual Halloween-themed running event held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Excelsior Commons Park, 135 Lake Street, Excelsior, MN. The event features a neighborhood and trail course that runs along Lake Minnetonka and nearby streets. The route uses neighborhood streets and the Lake Minnetonka Regional Trail; vehicles may be present on neighborhood sections and participants should prepare for variable trail conditions and keep to the right when using the trail.

Race distances:

• 5K
• 1 mile

Standard registration for both distances includes a race bib, timing services, a 2026 race shirt (shirt optional at registration), glow sticks, and access to the after-party. Packet pick-up and day-of registration are available at Excelsior Commons.

Costumes are permitted; participants may wear a costume or run in regular attire. The finish area continues with an after-party at Excelsior Commons featuring a DJ, s'mores, fire pits, a hot cocoa bar, giveaways, and other activities.
