Event details
The 15th Annual Rowan Rotary Spooky Sprint 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Catawba College Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, NC (225 Yost Street, Salisbury, NC 28144). The event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1/2-mile Fun Run that is two laps around the college track. The course starts and ends on the Catawba track. Proceeds support local youth programs and Service Above Self Awards for ages 5 to 18. Timing and scoring for the 5K will be provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners. The race organizer may delay the event for up to one hour or cancel it if conditions pose a safety hazard.

- 1/2-Mile Fun Run (two laps around the track)
5K registration fees: $25 (mail-in through October 19, 2025; online through October 25, 2025) and $30 for on-site registration on October 26, 2025. Fun Run registration fee: $10. 5K participants receive a long sleeve T-shirt.
Awards for the 5K: $50 and a memento for 1st overall male and female; medals for top three in male and female age divisions from 9 & under through 80 & above. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards; awards will not be mailed. Fun Run awards include trophies and medals; all Fun Run participants receive a medal. Costume contest prizes for adults and children will be awarded by a panel of Rotarians. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
