Rowan Rotary Spooky Sprint 5K Run/Walk
The event takes place on October 25, 2026 at Catawba College Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, NC (225 Yost Street). It includes a 5K held on the track and a 0.5 Miles fun run that consists of two laps around the track.
The 5K course starts and ends on the Catawba track. Proceeds support youth programs, including Service Above Self Awards for ages 5 to 18 and sponsorships for student leadership training and youth service projects.
Registration and fees are specified as follows: 5K registration is $25 by mail through October 19 and online through October 24, with a $30 fee on-site and online on October 25. The fun run registration fee is $10.
Check-in and packet pick up occur at the registration desk in Catawba College Stadium between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m.
Awards for the 5K include $50 and a memento for 1st overall male and female. Medals are awarded to the top three in each male and female age division: 9 & under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 & above. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards and awards will not be mailed.
Fun run awards include trophies for 1st overall male and female, medals for 2nd and 3rd, and medals for all participants. 5K participants receive a long sleeve T-shirt. Timing and scoring for the 5K will be provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners. In case of inclement weather the event may be delayed up to one hour or canceled for safety.
