Spooky Sprint 5K : Roanoke (2026)
The Spooky Sprint 5K is a themed 3.1 mile running event held on October 24, 2026, organized by the West End Center for Youth. The race takes place at Rivers Edge North Park, 210 Reserve Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24016. The event is scheduled to run rain or shine.
Packet pick-up is available Friday, October 23 from 10:00 to 18:00 at RunAbout Sports Roanoke, and on race day at Rivers Edge North Park. Early registration through September 30 costs $35. Youth entries for ages 2–10 are listed at $20. Fees increase after September 30 and race-day sales will end on the morning of the event. After October 1, race t-shirts are available in limited quantities and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
A costume contest is part of the event, with multiple prize categories including youth, teen, adult, most creative, best Halloween spirit, and best pet costume. Pets are allowed but must be leashed.
