Spooktacular Costume 5K Run & Walk
This is the second annual Spooktacular Costume 5K Run & Walk on October 31, 2026, at Corwin M. Nixon Park in Mason, Ohio. The event is a family friendly 5K (3.1 miles) that encourages participants to wear Halloween costumes. The course is open to dogs and strollers and runs through the heart of Mason.
Registration fees vary by date. Registrations completed by October 2 are listed at $30 for adults and $25 for children 10 and under; those registrations are guaranteed a race t-shirt and a medal. Later registration tiers are set at higher fees and registrants after October 2 are not guaranteed a t-shirt or medal.
Packet pickup is scheduled for October 30 at Mason Community Center in Mason, Ohio.
Awards are given by age division. Stated age divisions include 10 and under; 11–19; 20–29; 40–49; 50–59; and 60 and over. The top male and female in each age division receive a first-place lanyard with their medal.
Race proceeds and donations support Shine Like Sable, the Comet Cupboard, and the City of Mason in efforts to assist Mason City School students who face food insecurity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
