Event details
The SPOOKTACULAR COSTUME 5K RUN & WALK is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Mason, OH at Corwin M. Nixon Park. The event is described as the 1st Annual Spooktacular Costume 5K Walk and Run and encourages participants to wear Halloween costumes. The course is dog and stroller friendly and winds through the heart of Mason. Race proceeds and donations will support Shine Like Sable, the Comet Cupboard, and the City of Mason to assist Mason City School students facing food insecurity.

Awards are given by age division; the top male and female in each division receive a first-place lanyard with their medal. The listed age divisions for awards are: 10 & Under; 11-19; 20-29; 30-29; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and Over.
Registration and logistics
Events listed include an adult 5K run/walk (open to ages 18+) and a youth 5K run/walk (open to ages 17 and under). Registration opened April 29, 2026. Published registration fees by date are:
- Now through September 22: Adults $30; Kids (10 and under) $25. Registrations before September 22 are guaranteed a race t-shirt and medal.
- September 23 – October 3: Adults $35; Kids (10 and under) $30.
- October 4 – Race Day: Adults $40; Kids (10 and under) $35.
