Splash Summit Triathlon
The event is a reverse-order sprint triathlon held at Splash Summit Waterpark in Provo, Utah on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The race venue uses the park for transitions and finishes with a waterslide return into the finish area. The program also includes a separate 5K walk/run and a kids super-sprint triathlon.
All racers begin with a road run on asphalt, then transition to a two-loop eight mile bike route that exits and re-enters the park. After the bike, participants swim in the park wave pool for 300 yards; lifejackets are permitted. Racers then run up the ramp and finish by sliding down the 300-foot Avalanche waterslide.
Distances
- Sprint triathlon: 5K run, 8-mile bike, 300-yard swim, 300-foot waterslide finish
- Kid's triathlon: 1.5 mile run, 4-mile bike, 150-yard swim, 300-foot waterslide finish
- 5K walk/run also available
The kid's triathlon is for ages 7 to 12 and uses roughly half the sprint distances with one lap of each course. The kids start after the sprint runners complete their first loop; adults who race alongside children must register in the kids division and are not eligible for adult awards.
Finishers receive event shirts, race bibs, finisher medals and sponsor swag. Sprint tri participants receive two Splash Summit 2026 park passes; 5K only participants receive one park pass. Registrations are non transferrable and non refundable. Sponsors include Day's Market Provo, Heat Hydration, and Utah Singles Mingle Events.
