Splash Dash - Cressona
The Splash Dash is a community fun run and walk held in Cressona as part of an all day Celebration for America 250 on July 18, 2026. The event centers on fundraising for the town pool, which requires $1.2 million in repairs and upgrades before it can reopen. The course starts and ends at the town pool on Graeff Street, where parking is available and local residents are expected to line the streets.
The event is an un-timed 2.50 mile fun run or walk; participants may use self-timers if desired. Only strollers or wagons are permitted as wheels on the course for safety. Pets are allowed. The Cressona Band will perform during the event. Participants often wear patriotic clothing or pool accessories to mark the community celebration.
Two participation options are offered:
- 2.50 miles in-person fun run or walk
- 2.50 miles virtual fun run or walk
Registration details and fees are set by the organizer. The in-person registration period is listed from March 27, 2026 to May 30, 2026; the virtual registration period is listed from April 1, 2026 to May 1, 2026. The registration fee for each option is $25.00. Special Splash Dash T-shirts are available for children ages five and above and for adults; virtual participants may also select a T-shirt.
