Splash Dash - Cressona
The Splash Dash is a community event held in Cressona to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. This event serves as a fundraiser to support local infrastructure, specifically for the repair and upgrade of the town pool. Participants traverse the streets of Cressona, starting and ending at the town pool located on Graeff Street.
This event is un-timed, emphasizing community spirit over competitive performance. Participants are welcome to use their own self-timing devices if they wish. The course is open to a variety of participants, including those with strollers or wagons. Pets are also permitted to accompany participants during the activity.
The event features the following options:
- 2.5 Miles Fun Run or Walk
- 2.5 Miles Virtual Fun Run or Walk
The atmosphere includes community support with people cheering along the route and a performance by the Cressona Band. Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic clothing or pool accessories. Special t-shirts are available for adults and children aged five and above, including those participating in the virtual category. On-site parking is available at the town pool facilities.
