Spirit of the West 5K Run/Walk
This event takes place in Golden, Colorado, at 205 Flora Way. The main race is a hilly 5K course that loops through the Sixth Avenue West neighborhood and finishes at the starting point. Participants can expect rolling terrain along neighborhood streets.
Two event options are listed:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Family Fun Dash (about 50 m or 50 yards)
Registration for the 5K opens July 30, 2025 and closes July 5, 2026; the Family Fun Dash has a separate registration period that closes July 27, 2026. The listed registration fees are $35.00 for the 5K and no fee for the Family Fun Dash. The Family Fun Dash is described as a short, no-pressure course that allows families to run, walk, skip, or cartwheel together and may include a 50-yard dash and other fun activities.
Festivities and swag bags are provided at the conclusion of the event. Medals are presented to first, second, and third place finishers in each age group and gender. Gift cards are awarded to the overall winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
