Location and logistics
The race starts and ends at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, at the corner of 27 1/2 Road and Cortland Avenue. Participants are asked to park across the street at the Presbyterian Church on race day. A sack brunch will be served to participants and volunteers; additional meal tickets are available at the door for $7. Vetted and trained childcare will be available at St. Matthew’s on a donation basis.
Beneficiaries
Proceeds support two local organizations: the VA Recreational Therapy Program on the Western Slope and Hilltop’s Latimer House. The VA program relies on donations to fund recreational activities for local disabled veterans, such as fishing, kayaking, and biking. Latimer House provides services for people who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault, including emergency safe houses, advocacy, and 24-hour crisis lines for Western Colorado counties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
