Event details and logistics
The in-person event lists a parking area at the Dogwood Dell lot next to The Carillon. Participants will have designated team meet-up areas identified by balloons and labeled by team name. Starting corrals are organized by mile pace, with separate signage for walkers and stroller users. A bag check will be available on race morning. The post-race area will include snacks, water, music, and vendors. Dogs are not allowed in Byrd Park or Maymont and are not permitted on the course.
Fees shown on the event page are $30 for the Byrd Park 5k and $35 for the Virtual 5k, with listed price increases after May 30, 2026 and July 30, 2026 respectively. Virtual participants are told participant packets will be mailed; registering by Monday, August 24 is noted to help ensure packets arrive before September 5.
