About the race
City Point Races take place in Hopewell, Virginia, at 100 W City Point Rd on September 19, 2026. The event program includes multiple running distances and family-focused youth races organized by the John Randolph Foundation, Hopewell Recreation and Parks, the City of Hopewell and Tri-Cities Road Runners.

- City Point 5k - 3.1 Miles
- City Point 10k - 6.2 Miles
- City Point 1/4 Mile - 0.3 Miles
- Kids Fun Run - 1 Miles
- Kinder Dash - 0.1 Miles
The 5k and 10k routes run along the Appomattox River and through downtown Hopewell and historic City Point. Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race and on race day, with Kids Fun Run and Kinder Dash packet pickup available on race day only. There will be no race day registrations.
Fee structure and t-shirt availability vary by distance and date. For the 5k and quarter mile, adult fees are $30 through September 1 and $40 from September 2 through September 18; youth entries for those distances are free. For the 10k, adult fees are $45 through September 1 and $55 from September 2 through September 18; youth entries are free. Kids Fun Run and Kinder Dash are free but require registration with t-shirt pickup on race day only. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
