The in-person event is held in Bend, Oregon at Lifty's Bar and Restaurant, 1787 SW Chandler Ave, Bend OR 97702. The event includes family-oriented activities designed to prompt conversations about safety. Connection Challenges and a Duck Trail Fun Hunt place collectible feathers with simple discussion questions along the route. Children who collect feathers can turn them in for prizes at the finish. Race shirts are available for purchase and may be mailed after the event if sizes are limited on race day.
Organized by IN OUR BACKYARD, the event supports the organization’s prevention programs and victim assistance work. The organizer describes proceeds as supporting local prevention education and operations that provide assistance to trafficking victims. Team registrations of ten or more are noted to receive team perks from the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
