Titan Trot 5K
The Titan Trot is a community 5K organized by SPC Faculty and Staff Volunteers at the St. Petersburg College Clearwater Campus. The event raises scholarship funds for SPC students and includes both in-person and virtual entry options.
The course is an out-and-back route that loops around the Clearwater campus, continues onto the Duke Energy Trail, then follows the Ream Wilson Trail past the Phillies stadium and just beyond the US 19 bridge before returning to campus. The route was adjusted to accommodate construction on the Ream Wilson Trail. The race is chip timed and timing chips are attached to the race bib. There is one water stop located about one mile from the start. Volunteers are stationed at the turnaround. Participants should note a short grass section where the course crosses Old Coachman Road.
Strollers are allowed with caution due to a short three foot section of grass. Packet pick up is handled on campus with tables located outside between the LA and ES buildings; a printed and signed waiver is required before packet pick up and may be brought by participants. Some parking areas will be closed for the revised course, though the campus provides free parking; spaces reserved for staff should be avoided.
Post race activities include awards, free drawings, snacks, and games near the finish line such as cornhole and kid’s Jenga.
