SPC Titan Trot 5K
The Titan Trot 5K is an annual event held at the St. Petersburg College Clearwater Campus. Organized by faculty and staff volunteers, the race serves as a fundraiser to provide scholarship money for students. The event features a chip-timed course and welcomes participants of various abilities, including walkers and runners. To ensure no participant finishes in the final position, two designated coaches volunteer to serve as the last finishers of the race.
The course follows an out-and-back layout that begins on the campus quad. Participants loop around the Clearwater campus before transitioning onto the Duke Energy Trail. The route includes a crossing at Old Coachman Road that features a short, three-foot section of grass. Runners continue north across Drew Street to the Ream Wilson Trail, passing near the Phillies stadium, with a turnaround point located just past the US 19 bridge. One water station is positioned approximately one mile from the starting line.

The finish line area includes various games such as corn hole, beach balls, and Jenga. Post-race activities feature snacks, award ceremonies, and free drawings for all athletes. Strollers are permitted on the course, though participants should be aware of the short grassy section. Free parking is available on the Clearwater Campus, though some areas may be restricted for staff or due to the race route.
Packet pickup is available on the Friday prior to the event and on race morning. Registration remains open during these times for cash-only payments. All athletes are required to sign a printed waiver before receiving their race packets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
