Southwater Team Sprint Triathlon 2026
The Southwater Team Sprint Triathlon takes place at Southwater Country Park, Cripplegate Lane, Southwater RH13 7UN on 13 September 2026. The event is a team relay in which each team has three competitors. Each team member completes a swim, a cycle leg and a run; the team time is taken when the third team member finishes.
Distances for each leg are:
- Swim 400 m
- Cycle 18 km
- Run 3.8 km
Wetsuits are compulsory for the swim for safety reasons. Wave 1 uses a mass swim start. Wave 2 and Wave 3 swimmers start from the pontoon in a time trial format and have individual start times recorded by the timing crew. The event is timed by ST App Service; there will be no chip timing.
Entry is by team. Entry fees are £150 per team and increase to £156 per team from 1 May 2026. An administration fee is applied by the online entry system partner Results Base. Team changes with full emergency and medical details must be completed by 1 September 2026. Cancellations may be refunded if a replacement team is found up to four weeks before race day. Entries cannot be carried forward to the following year.
British Triathlon membership or a British Triathlon Race Pass is required to compete. The organisers note that the lake may be closed if conditions are unsuitable and that open water carries health risks such as Leptospirosis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
