Southwater Team Sprint Triathlon 2026
This team relay triathlon takes place on 13 September 2026 at Southwater Country Park, Cripplegate Lane, Southwater, West Sussex RH13 7UN. Each team comprises three competitors who each complete a swim, cycle and run in sequence. The team time is recorded when team member number three finishes.

- 3.8 km run
Wave format is used for the swim. Wave 1 is a mass start. Wave 2 and Wave 3 start in a time trial format from the pontoon and individual start times are recorded by the timing crew. Wetsuits are compulsory for safety. Water quality tests on 31 July 2026 showed an Excellent rating.
Entry is charged per team at £150 plus a booking fee, increasing to £156 on 1 May 2026. An administration fee is applied by the online entry system partner Results Base. British Triathlon race licence rules apply: competitors must be British Triathlon members with a race licence or must purchase a British Triathlon Race Pass before race day. 2026 race pass costs are listed as £8 for adults and £2 for juniors.
Prize categories include top three male and female teams, veteran teams, mixed teams, junior teams and other classifications. To qualify as a vets team all three members must be over 40 on race day; junior teams are for ages 14 to 18 with a minimum age requirement of 15 by 31 December 2026.
Teams per club are unlimited but each team must be submitted individually. Team changes with full emergency and medical details must be completed by 1 September 2026; late changes may affect prize eligibility. Cancellations may be refunded up to four weeks before the event if a replacement team can be found. Entries cannot be carried forward to the following year.
The lake is managed by Horsham District Council and Southwater Watersports Centre but may be closed if conditions are unsuitable. The organisers note inherent risks of inland open water, including illnesses such as Leptospirosis, and disclaim liability for ill health resulting from such activity. Horsham Amphibians Triathlon reserve the right to use photographs taken at the event for future promotional purposes.
