Southwater Team Sprint Triathlon 2026
The Southwater Team Sprint Triathlon takes place on 13 September 2026 at Southwater Country Park, RH13 7UN. The event is organised by Raw Energy Pursuits as a team relay with each team made up of three competitors.
Each team member completes a 400 m swim, an 18 km cycle and a 3.8 km run. Team member No. 1 starts in the mass swim wave, Team member No. 2 starts shortly before the last Wave 1 swimmer exits the water, and Team member No. 3 starts once the last Wave 2 swimmer is leaving. Wave 2 and Wave 3 swimmers start in a time trial format from the pontoon and individual start times are recorded. The team time is taken when team member No. 3 finishes.
Wetsuits are compulsory for the swim as a safety requirement. Competitors must hold a British Triathlon race licence or purchase a British Triathlon Race Pass for this event before race day. 2026 race pass prices stated in the event information are £8 for adults and £2 for juniors.
Entry is by team with a fee of £150 per team through 30 April 2026, increasing to £156 per team from 1 May 2026; an administration or booking fee is applied by the online entry system partner. Team classifications include male, female, mixed, veteran and junior categories; a Vets team requires all three members to be over 40 on race day.
The lake is supervised but may be closed if conditions are unsuitable. The organisers note inherent risks of inland open water and the possibility of variable bacterial levels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
