Event overview
Southwater Team Sprint Triathlon 2026 takes place on 13 September 2026 at Southwater Country Park, RH13 7UN, England. The event is organised by Raw Energy Pursuits and is run as a team relay triathlon for clubs and groups. Entry is charged per team; the fee is £150 per team until 30 April 2026 and rises to £156 per team from 1 May 2026. An administration or booking fee is applied by the online entry system.
Race format and distances
Each team consists of three competitors. Each team member completes a swim, an 18 km cycle and a 3.8 km run in sequence; the team time is taken when the third team member finishes. Wave 1 is a mass swim start; Wave 2 and Wave 3 swimmers start in a time trial format from the pontoon and have individual start times recorded.

Categories, rules and entries
Prize categories include overall top three male and female teams, veteran team categories, mixed team categories, and a junior team category (age 14-18; juniors must be 15 by 31/12/2026). To qualify as a vets team all three members must be aged over 40 on race day. Team member changes with emergency and medical details must be completed by 1 September 2026. Cancellations may be refunded up to four weeks before the event if a replacement team is found; entries cannot be carried forward to the following year.
Safety, equipment and timing
Wetsuits are compulsory for the swim as a safety requirement. Competitors must hold a British Triathlon race licence or purchase a British Triathlon Race Pass before race day; adult race passes for 2026 are listed at £8 and junior passes at £2 in the event information. The lake is supervised by local authorities but may be closed if conditions are unsuitable; participants are informed of inherent risks associated with inland open water.
