Southside BeltLine 8K
The Southside BeltLine 8K is a race event presented by Resurgens Orthopaedics and organized by Atlanta Track Club as part of the Atlanta BeltLine race series. The first annual Southside BeltLine race takes place on August 1, 2026, at Pittsburgh Yards, 352 University Ave SW, and highlights the newest section of the BeltLine.
Distances offered:
- 8K - competitive, ages 9 and older
- 3K - non-competitive, ages 7 and older, strollers and dogs allowed (3K sold out)
Both distances are timed. Course time limits are 1 hour 30 minutes for the 8K and 50 minutes for the 3K. Awards and prize money are given for the 8K only; prize money for overall 8K finishers is $250 for 1st, $125 for 2nd, and $75 for 3rd. Prize money recipients must be Atlanta Track Club members to receive payment. Age group awards for the 8K are based on net time and are available for standard age divisions.
Race day registration may be available if spots remain. Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on July 31, 2026, or when the event sells out. The official timing device is a MYLAPS ThinTag attached to the back of the bib; bibs must be visible, unaltered, pinned in all corners, and not covered.
Events are held rain or shine; severe weather such as nearby lightning may delay or cancel the event. Limited on-site parking is available at Pittsburgh Yards, with additional street parking across the street. Public bike racks will be available on site.
