Southern Illinois 10K, Micro-Marathon, and PeeWee Marathon

The event takes place on April 11, 2026, at the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge in Marion, Illinois. All courses start and finish at the new refuge headquarters on Headquarters Road, just west of Rt 148.

Multiple event distances are offered:

10k Run
2.62 mile Micro Marathon
0.262 mile PeeWee Marathon

The courses are generally flat with a few small, gently rolling hills. Check-in and race day registration are available on race day. Participants who register by March 29 are guaranteed a T shirt. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each five year age group and to the overall winners. There are special awards for participants who enter all three events.

Light refreshments will be provided. This event is part of the River to River Runners Club Championship Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
