About the race
The Grey 5K is an inaugural run/walk event taking place on May 31, 2025, at Sadler's Pond Nature Park in Essex, Ontario, Canada. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5-kilometer course through the scenic nature park and trail. The event honors Jaida Chartier, a young local who bravely battled pediatric brain cancer, and aims to raise funds for childhood cancer research, specifically pediatric brain cancer.
The Grey 5K also commemorates Brain Tumour/Cancer Awareness Month, symbolized by the grey ribbon. Registration includes a custom event T-shirt, and the event fosters a supportive community atmosphere dedicated to continuing Jaida’s fight and raising awareness.
