Cape Cod Marathon Weekend
The Cape Cod Marathon Weekend takes place on October 10 and 11, 2026 in Falmouth, Massachusetts, with Mullen-Hall School listed as the event location. The weekend is produced by the Falmouth Running Club, a non-profit organization.
Race offerings include:
- Marathon 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles
- Marathon Relay five legs ranging from 2.8 to 7.5 miles
- 5K 3.1 miles
- Kids' Fun Run loops on a 1/5 mile cinder track
- Clam Chowdah Challenge Half plus Full for a total of 39.3 miles
- Lobstah Challenge Half plus 5K across the weekend
Courses run along Vineyard Sound and coastal roads and provide views of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Sound. The half marathon is an out-and-back route with one short hill encountered near the 3.5 and 9.75 mile markers. The marathon course is described as BQ-friendly and largely flat. Courses are open to traffic but are monitored by police, flaggers and volunteers.
The event includes a marathon relay that follows the full marathon course. The weekend also includes merchandise options and tiered registration pricing; registration opens on December 1. The organizer does not allow the buying, selling or trading of bib numbers and prohibits running under another participant's registration for safety reasons.
