Event overview
Phoenix Running South Wales will hold the South Wales - Christmas Advent Run on Sunday 30 November 2025 at the Rock UK Summit Centre, Parc Taf Bargoed, Trelewis, Merthyr Tydfil CF46 6RD. Places are strictly limited. The event is a timed challenge with a maximum total time of seven hours.
Course and format
Runners and walkers choose how many laps to complete of a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out-and-back loop. The minimum distance is one lap (3.28 miles) and the event uses a one-hour start window with flexible rock-up-and-run starts. The course is multi-terrain: the majority is on tarmac paths with about 0.5 miles on riverside trail. The overall course has an elevation gain of 37 m.

Entry and services
Standard entry fees listed are £33 (affiliated) and £35 (unaffiliated). A no-medal entry option is offered at a flat £20. Standard entries include a bespoke finishers medal.
