South Street Youth Center Family 5K
The event is a community 5K run and walk at Jamaica Pond Boathouse in Jamaica Plain, MA on October 18, 2026. The event welcomes runners and walkers and notes that there is no entry fee for participants aged 17 and under.
Registration for the 5K is offered in three tiers: early bird $25, after September 27 $35, and race day $45; optional processing fees apply. Registrations completed by September 27 are eligible for a personalized bib. Proceeds support the South Street Youth Center.
The course consists of two clockwise loops around Jamaica Pond plus a short extension and return to complete the full 5K. Bib pickup and same day registration are available at the race site. Live results, event photos, and a small fun run gift are provided for participants.
Costumes are encouraged and prizes are awarded for best costumes in adult, youth, and family categories. Medals are awarded to top runners with top two finishers recognized by male female and X non binary categories across age groups including 13 and under through 66 and older.
