South Seas Captiva Island Triathlon
The South Seas Captiva Island Triathlon takes place on September 27, 2026 at South Seas Captiva Island in Captiva Island, Florida. The event program includes multiple race formats held on and around the resort property.
Available race formats include:
- Super Sprint: 200 yard swim, 5 mile bike, 1.5 mile run
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.25 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Sprint Duathlon: 1 mile run, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Sprint Aquabike: 0.25 mile swim, 10 mile bike
- Sprint Triathlon Relay: 0.25 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
Swims take place in the Gulf of Mexico. The bike course is described as closed to vehicular traffic. Runs occur along the Florida Gulf Coast near the resort.
Registration for these races opens on November 26, 2025 and closes on December 1, 2025. Posted entry fees include $109 for most sprint events, $199 for the relay, and $89 for the Super Sprint.
The venue is the 330 acre South Seas resort on the northern end of Captiva Island, located between Pine Island Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. The resort property includes mangrove areas and a wildlife preserve, and organizers plan on-site event activities for individuals and families during the race weekend.
