South Padre Island Muzicians Run 5k/10k
The South Padre Island Muzicians Run is scheduled for October 24, 2026, and takes place at Beach Waterpark on South Padre Island, Texas. The event offers multiple route options and a finish-line celebration with live mariachi music and on-site food and beverage service. The courses are flat out-and-back routes with live muzicians performing approximately every half mile. The route is open for 1 hour and 45 minutes and includes at least two cup-less water refill stations located at music locations. A sag vehicle will assist participants who do not meet time limits. 10K participants must reach the 1.55 mile marker within 26 minutes to continue on the 10K course.
Entries include a commemorative bib, a men/unisex tek shirt (sizes requested at registration, XSMALL through 5XL), a 5 inch finisher medal, a logoed cup, and a free taco and beer or margarita redeemed on premises. Packet pickup and an expo are held at Beach Waterpark prior to the race. Age group awards and overall awards for top male and female finishers are presented.
