Event Overview
The Jailbreak returns to South Padre Island for its 14th edition, held at Claytons Beach Bar. Located at 7355 Padre Boulevard, this event takes place over two days in May. The course is designed with a focus on safety, featuring obstacles engineered for participants and qualified emergency workers stationed throughout the route to assist as needed.
Distance and Format
Participants can register for the following distance:
- 5 km obstacle course featuring 16-20 different obstacles.
The event is organized into multiple waves across the weekend. Registration is available for individual participants, with specific categories also open for four-person teams. The schedule includes several morning waves on both Saturday and Sunday.
Logistics and Safety
The event is held rain or shine. In the event of weather conditions that create an unsafe environment, the race may be postponed for a period ranging from a few hours to several weeks. Registration is non-refundable except in cases of military deployment. If a participant is unable to attend a rescheduled date due to a weather postponement, the registration may be transferred to another event organized by the same group.
