The Fools Run - 5th Annual
The event takes place Saturday, April 3, 2027 at Margaritaville Beach Resort, South Padre Island, Texas (310 Padre Blvd). All races start and finish on the sand behind the resort and run along the beach.
Distances offered:
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile (Kids, ages 10 and under)
The 10K is professionally chip timed and will have official results with first-place awards in each designated age group. The 5K is a chip-timed fun run with official times but no overall or age-group awards. The Kids 1 Mile is for children ages 10 and under on a beach course that uses the event finish line.
Every registered participant in the 10K, 5K, and Kids 1 Mile receives a finisher medal. A costume contest will be held with a prize for the best costume. A portion of proceeds will benefit Walk for Women. There is a strict T-shirt guarantee deadline of March 13 for receiving an official race T-shirt. The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine and all registrations are final with no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
