South Downs 100 mile (Autumn Event)
The South Downs 100 mile is a single-loop trail race through the South Downs National Park. The event is scheduled for 3 October 2026 and is organised by UK Ultra. The race starts and finishes at Plumpton Racecourse, Lewes, East Sussex. The distance is 100 miles.
Course and entry details
The route includes over 12,000 ft of elevation with rolling hills and multiple viewpoints. There are 12 aid stations along the course and a 34 hour cutoff time. Free onsite camping is available over the weekend. The 100 mile race is part of the South Downs Triple Crown, a challenge introduced in 2025 that requires completing three ultra-distance races in the same calendar year; four variations of the Triple Crown are offered.
