South 100

South 100 is a crewed team event that pairs five runners to complete 100 mile trail routes in Cornwall. The organisers provide transport from a central base to each start point, crew support at regular intervals and return transport from the finish to the base. The crew meets teams every 5 to 6 miles and supplies water, Pepsi, sweets, crisps and simple hot food. Participants should supply their own race nutrition; on-course supplies are supplementary.

The event is self-navigation and all five runners start together; team members should remain together at crew points. The run must be completed within 36 hours. Ferry crossings are managed by the crew who will transport teams to continue on the coast path if required. Major medical incidents will cancel the event and organisers will manage any medical response. Participants must provide an emergency contact prepared to collect them if they withdraw. Life360 tracking is used for participant and crew location.

Entry costs £110 and is non refundable unless a replacement entry is found. All finishers receive a Whythra Bys Vyken 100 miler buckle. Participants must be over 18, medically able and suitably trained. Qualifying requirements include prior completion of a 100k event in under 20 hours and experience of night running. A mandatory kit list includes a quality waterproof jacket, hydration system 1 litre minimum, bivvy bag (not a foil blanket), headtorch 200 lumens minimum with spare batteries, first aid kit and emergency money.
