Sound to Bay 5K & 10K Run/Walk
The Sound to Bay 5K & 10K Run/Walk is scheduled for August 23, 2026 at Jamesport Town Beach in Jamesport, New York. The event offers both a 5K and a 10K distance on certified courses and takes place rain or shine.

- 10K Run/Walk starts at Iron Pier Beach and finishes at Jamesport Town Beach.
Both courses are USATF certified. The 10K route travels from Iron Pier Beach along Long Island Sound through the historic hamlet of South Jamesport, passing farms, vineyards, horse corrals, orchards, and nurseries before reaching the finish at Jamesport Beach on Great Peconic Bay. The 5K begins at Jamesport Town Beach and winds through South Jamesport back to the same finish area.
Event amenities listed include T shirts for the first 300 registrants, water stops approximately every mile, a post race raffle and award ceremony, and access to South Jamesport Beach for the day. Race logistics note that 10K participants are bused to the starting area and that bib pickup and race registration occur at the finish line area on Town Beach Road at Peconic Bay Boulevard.
