Sound to Bay 5K & 10K Run/Walk
The Sound to Bay Run/Walk is scheduled for August 23, 2026 at Jamesport Town Beach in Jamesport, NY. The event offers two distances and uses coastal and hamlet roads around South Jamesport. The 10K course begins at Iron Pier Beach on Long Island Sound and finishes at Jamesport Beach on Great Peconic Bay, passing farms, vineyards, horse corrals, orchards, and nurseries. The 5K begins and finishes at Jamesport Town Beach and winds through the historic hamlet of South Jamesport.

Participants may receive T-shirts while supplies last, and water stops are available every mile. Post-race activities include a raffle and an award ceremony. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, and to top finishers representing fire departments, police or peace officers, and EMS. Registration proceeds support the Jamesport Fire Department and associated community outreach programs. Bib pickup and packet procedures are handled at the finish area; 10K runners are transported to the 10K start at Iron Pier Beach. Live online and same-day finish line photos and results are provided.
