Sound to Bay 5K & 10K Run/Walk 2027
The event is a run and walk in Jamesport, New York, featuring USATF certified courses for both distances and shoreline scenery. Courses pass through the historic hamlet of South Jamesport and include views of farms, vineyards, horse corrals, orchards, and nurseries, with finishes at Jamesport Town Beach on Great Peconic Bay.

The 10K course starts at Iron Pier Beach on Long Island Sound and approaches the finish at Jamesport Town Beach. The 5K begins and ends at Jamesport Town Beach and follows a route through South Jamesport. Water stops are provided every mile.
Event amenities listed by the organizer include T-shirts for the first 300 registrants, a post-race raffle and award ceremony, and use of South Jamesport Beach for the day. Ten kilometer runners are transported by bus to the starting area. Bib pickup requires parking and registration at the finish line location on Town Beach Road and Peconic Bay Boulevard; T-shirts are available while supplies last. Personalized race numbers are provided to those registered at least three weeks in advance. Bib lookup and rapid bib number delivery for recent registrants are available.
Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, and to the top three finishers representing fire departments, peace or police officers, and EMS. Live online, email, and text results are provided, along with free video and same-day finish line photos; additional photos are available on the organizer's Facebook page.
