Sounds of Silence SOS 5K & 10K 2027
The Sounds of Silence event on May 22, 2027 is a community run and walk at Walker Beach in the Village of Brightwaters, NY. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation; virtual 5K and 10K options are available May 22–30, 2027.

Early bib and T-shirt pickup is scheduled for May 21, 2–6 PM at Walker Beach. Race swag bags are available to the first 350 registered participants. Ten kilometer participants receive a Sounds of Silence finisher medal. Raffle prizes, SOS merchandise and kids crafts are part of the event activities. Wheelchair athletes are welcomed.
Course information notes one loop for the 5K and two loops for the 10K. Rolling road closures will occur along Montauk Highway; participants should follow course signage, race officials and safety personnel. The event includes awards for 5K and 10K overall male and female, top individual fundraiser and best school participation.
Proceeds support the SOS Awareness Foundation’s programs for mental health awareness, community connection, movement and student scholarships. Registration fees are used toward race expenses and are nonrefundable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
