Sounds of Silence SOS 5K & 10K 2027
This event is scheduled for May 15, 2027 in Brightwaters. Registration is not yet open; notifications are available to alert interested participants when registration opens.
Distances offered:
- 5K one loop
- 10K two loops
The course uses sections of Montauk Highway with rolling road closures in place; participants should be attentive to their surroundings on course. The 10K is restricted to runners only. Village residents are encouraged to bike to the event and a dedicated bike area is provided to reduce parking congestion. Drivers are advised to allow ample time for parking.
Early bib pickup is scheduled for May 15 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Walker Beach in Brightwaters. Virtual entries will receive items by shipping; the shipping window ranges from one week before the event to one week after the event. Participants must know their bib number to collect a race bib; a self lookup area is available and those who register close to pickup may receive their bib number by text.
Awards are listed for overall male and female in both distances, top individual fundraiser, and best school participation. The beneficiary for the event is the SOS Awareness Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
