Sounds of Silence SOS 5K & 10K - Brightwaters, May 15, 2027
The Sounds of Silence event on May 15, 2027 in Brightwaters offers two course options and supports the SOS Awareness Foundation. The 5K is a single loop and the 10K consists of two loops. Organizers note rolling road closures on Montauk Highway and advise participants to be attentive on course.
Registration is not yet open; a notification option is available for when registration opens. Village residents are encouraged to bike to the event and a dedicated bike area is provided to reduce parking congestion. Drivers are advised to allow ample time for parking.
Bib pickup options are provided. Early pickup is scheduled on May 15 at Walker Beach in Brightwaters from 2 pm to 6 pm. Day of pickup is available in the hour before the scheduled start. Virtual entries receive race materials shipped to participants, with a shipping window from one week before the event to one week after.
Awards are listed for overall male and female winners in both distances, a top individual fundraiser, and best school participation. The 10K run is designated for runners only.
