Event Overview
The Sonoma Elementary All Aboard Express Run is a community and family event in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It is organized to celebrate Sonoma Elementary School's 20th anniversary and replaces the school's traditional Jog-A-Thon. The event includes both a 5k run and a 1-mile fun run. Alumni of the school are encouraged to attend as VIP guests.

The event will be held at 5700 Mesa Grande Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88011. It is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Race Details
Participants can choose from two distances:
- A 5k run.
- A 1-mile fun run.
A packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the event, April 10, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sonoma Elementary (4201 Northrise Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88001). Packet pickup will also be available on the event day starting at 7:00 AM. Course maps and parking details are to be announced.
All finishers will receive a custom train engine race medal. Participants who register with a paid entry before April 1st at 11:59 PM will receive a free event t-shirt.
Fundraising Purpose
The event is a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. Donations and sponsorships from the event will directly support improvements to the school's 20-year-old playground and school facilities. The platform allows participants to create a personal fundraising page to share with friends and family.
Registration and Policies
Registration fees are listed as $35 for adult tickets and $15 for child tickets for both the 5k and fun run, with final prices shown including additional fees and taxes. The event has a no-refund policy on race entry fees and does not allow transfers to other events. Race insurance is suggested during registration.
