Sonoma County Balloon Chase 5k
The Sonoma County Balloon Chase 5k is an inaugural running event held at Keiser Park in Windsor, California. Presented by the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic, the event features road races that traverse the local areas of Starr Road and Windsor River Road.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 1 km Dash (Little Dashers)
The 5 km course consists of a 3.1 mile loop that begins and ends within Keiser Park. The event allows the use of strollers on the course, though dogs are not permitted to attend.
Entrants in the 5 km category receive a hat and a collectible pin. Those participating in the 1 km dash receive a collectible pin, with the option to purchase a hat for an additional fee. All registered participants have the opportunity to take photographs with local hot air balloons and learn about the aviation aspects of flying and chasing them.
