Event Overview
The SongStrong 5K takes place at the Guilford Fairgrounds in Connecticut. This event focuses on community participation and raising funds to support child safety. Participants can complete the course by running or walking, and there is an option to participate as an individual or part of a group. The event features views of the Long Island Sound and the historic Guilford Green.
Distances
- 5K: A running race open to individuals and teams.

Course and Atmosphere
The physical event is held on a route that highlights local scenery in Guilford. After the race, a post-race party is held featuring live music, food, and drinks. For the younger participants, the fairgrounds host an obstacle course and various activities such as sno cones. Results are tracked live and can be viewed on mobile devices during the event.
Recognition and Categories
Trophies are awarded to the first-place male and female finishers. Additional awards are provided for the top two male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over. Recognition is also given to the top fundraising team and the participant with the most creative outfit.
