Something To Talk About is a technical trail running event set at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre in the New Forest, with a Grade I listed "calendar" manor house as a backdrop. The next scheduled race date is 20/09/2026. The route is looped; each loop is 3.28 miles, and participants may choose their own distance on the day, from 5K up to an ultra-marathon. All finishers of one loop or more receive a medal. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under under UK Athletics rules.

Facilities and logistics

Number pick-up takes place on the day at race registration before starting. There will be an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap offering a selection of savoury and sweet items, and an area to leave personal items. Organisers do not provide plastic cups. Toilets, showers and changing facilities are available. Camping is available through Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre. Limited parking is available; the nearest train station is Hinton Admiral.
