Something To Talk About
Something To Talk About is a looped trail event held at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre in the New Forest, with a Grade I listed "calendar" manor house visible from the course. The route is described as technical and runs through forest terrain.
Participants may choose their distance on the day by completing one or more laps. All finishers of one loop or more receive a medal.
Distances include:
- 5K
- Multiple loops to reach longer distances
- Ultra marathon option; each loop is 3.28 miles
Race services include number pick up on the day at race registration and an aid and drinks table at the start and finish of each lap. The aid station offers a selection of savoury and sweet items and there is an area to leave personal items. Organisers do not provide plastic cups. Toilets, showers and changing facilities are available on site. Camping is available via Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre booking.
The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules. As per UK Athletics rules, distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under.
