Something To Talk About
Set in the New Forest at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre with a Grade I listed 'calendar' manor house as a backdrop, this is a looped technical trail event that runs through forested terrain. The route is based on repeated laps, allowing participants to select how far they run on the day.
Distances available
- 5K
- Options up to ultra-marathon using multiple laps
Each lap measures 3.28 miles. All finishers of one lap or more receive a medal. Number pick-up takes place on the day at race registration before a runner starts.
An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury and sweet items. There is also an area to leave personal items. Organisers do not provide plastic cups; participants need to provide their own.
On-site facilities include toilets, showers and changing rooms. Camping is available through Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre and must be booked with the centre. The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules; distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under.
Limited parking is noted at the venue and car sharing is suggested. The nearest train station is Hinton Admiral. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
