Event overview
Something To Talk About is a looped trail event organised by Long Player Running at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre in the New Forest. The course runs around a Grade I listed "calendar" manor house and follows a technical trail through forest. Loops measure 3.28 miles each. Participants may choose their own distance on the day, from 5K up to an ultra-marathon. All finishers completing one loop or more receive a medal. The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules; distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under. The event date is 20 September 2026 and entry fees are shown in the range of £37.50 to £39.50. It is stated that entrants must be aged 18 or over on 20/09/2026.
Facilities and logistics
Number pick-up takes place on the day at race registration before the run. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury and sweet items; there is also an area to leave personal items. The event does not provide plastic cups. Toilets, showers and changing facilities are available on site. Camping is offered through Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre.
