Event details
Something To Talk About is a looped trail event set at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre in the New Forest, with a Grade I listed "calendar" manor house nearby. The route runs through forest and is described as technical. Participants may choose their distance on the day, with options ranging from 5K to ultra-marathon. Each loop measures 3.28 miles. All finishers of one loop or more will receive a medal.
Facilities and entry
Entry fees are listed between £37.50 and £39.50. The event is open to entrants aged 18 and over on 20/09/2026. The race is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules; distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under under those rules. Number pick-up is on the day at race registration.
An aid and drinks table will be available at the start/finish of each lap, with savoury and sweet items and an area to leave personal items. Organisers do not provide plastic cups. Toilets, showers and changing facilities are available on site. Camping is available through Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre. Parking is limited; the nearest train station is Hinton Admiral.
