Something To Talk About

Something To Talk About is a forest trail event set in the New Forest with a Grade I listed "calendar" manor house as a backdrop. The course is a technical looped trail that runs through woodland, over boardwalks and alongside lakes.

Participants can choose their own distance on the day, with options starting at 5K and extending up to ultra-marathon distances. All participants who complete one loop or more receive a newly designed metal medal.

The event provides an aid station called Run DMC at the start and finish of each lap; it offers drinks and a wide range of sweet and savoury snacks, including roast potatoes and cheese. There is an area to leave personal items. The event is cupless and attendees should bring their own drinking vessel. Toilets, showers and changing facilities are available. Camping is available through the Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre.

Number pick-up takes place on the day at race registration before starting. The event is licensed by the TRA and is run under UKA rules; distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under. Parking is limited and car sharing is recommended. The nearest train station is Hinton Admiral. There is space at the venue for people to bring chairs or rugs, and an on-theme playlist will be played during the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
