Sombrero Marathon
Sombrero Marathon offers multiple race distances along the Santa Clarita paseos and bike path. The course follows gently rolling hills with no auto traffic and a start and finish at Heritage Park, 24155 Newhall Ranch Rd., Santa Clarita, CA 91355. The marathon course is USATF certified #CA23032TEB and is a Boston qualifier.

All participants receive event items including a custom finisher medal, a premium sublimated shirt, a premium runner's hat, and a reusable tote bag. Post race food includes a free plate of street tacos for runners; additional plates and guest tickets are available for $8 each. Packet pickup is available. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women in each race, the top three in each age group for all distances, and the top three teams for the team competition.
The event uses cup less water stations for safety and environmental reasons. Runners may dispense water hands free from foot pedal units; reusable cups are available for purchase for $3 at packet pickup or race day check in. An early start option is offered for marathon entrants who notify organizers in advance; early starters should know the course and expect limited water station coverage during the initial portion of their start.
