Sombrero Marathon 2027
The Sombrero Marathon is a road race event in Santa Clarita, California, held at Heritage Park, 4155 Newhall Ranch Rd, 91355. The event celebrates the cultural history of the sombrero while staging multiple measured running distances.

The marathon is held on a USATF certified course, CA23032TEB, and is a Boston qualifying course. The course is closed to auto traffic and features gently rolling hills. Mile markers and volunteers are placed at major turns and water stations. Porta potties are provided roughly every 1.5 miles and free standing bathrooms are available at the park. A seven hour time limit applies to the marathon.
An early start option is available for marathon runners who need additional time; athletes using the early option should know the course in advance and be prepared to carry their own fluids during the initial portion before water stations are fully staffed.
Packet pickup takes place the Saturday before race day at a local commercial address. Packet pickup includes timing chip, race bib, and race day shirt, and serves as the final opportunity to register for the event. There is no race day registration.
This event operates cup-less water stations for safety and environmental reasons. Reusable cups are available for purchase at packet pickup or race day check in. Post race street tacos are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
