Event
The Master's University Winter 5K is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026. The race starts and finishes on Pete Reese Field at The Master's University north campus. The course follows TMU north campus roads and trails, winds through Placerita Canyon and Quigley Canyon Open Space, and returns to the starting point. The organizer describes the course as scenic and entirely flat with varying terrain. The event has been held since 2011. Race options for 2026 include a Kids K (open to ages 13 and under), a 5K Challenge limited to participants aiming to finish in around 35 minutes, and a 5K Run/Walk that follows the 5K Challenge.
Registration and awards
Registration uses tiered pricing with early, general, late, and race-day rates. The Kids K offers early registration from July 1 ($10), general registration from September 1 ($15), and race-day registration on January 17 ($20) payable by cash or check; registration closes January 15 at 11:59 PM. The 5K Challenge and 5K Run/Walk list early registration from July 1 ($30), priority and general tiers through November, a last day to guarantee a souvenir T-shirt on December 25, late registration on January 1 ($45), and race-day registration on January 17 ($50) payable by cash or check; registration closes January 15 at 11:59 PM. All participants in the Kids K, 5K Challenge, and 5K Run/Walk receive event t-shirts and medallions. Prizes for overall male and female winners are awarded by age group in the 5K Challenge.
