Event overview
The Master's University Winter 5K takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at The Master's University. The race starts and finishes on Pete Reese Field on the university's north campus. The event program includes these distances and races:
- 1K Kids K (open to ages 13 and under)
- 5K 5K Challenge
- 5K 5K Run/Walk
The 5K Challenge is limited to participants aiming to complete the course in around 35 minutes. All events award participants with event t-shirts and medallions.
Course and awards
The race route replicates the 2025 course. It begins on north campus, winds through Placerita Canyon and Quigley Canyon Open Space, and returns to the starting point on north campus. The organizers describe the course as scenic and entirely flat with varying terrain. Prizes for overall male and female winners are awarded by age group in the 5K Challenge.

Registration closes on January 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM for listed events. Pricing tiers and deadlines are set for early, priority, general, late, and race day registration. December 25 is the last day to register and guarantee a souvenir T-shirt. Race day registration is available and accepts cash or check.
