Event overview
The Master's University Winter 5K takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The race starts and finishes on Pete Reese Field at The Master's University north campus. The course winds through Placerita Canyon and Quigley Canyon Open Space and finishes at the starting point on north campus. Organizers say the course will replicate the 2025 course and describe it as scenic and entirely flat with varying terrain. The event has been held since 2011.

Registration and awards
The event uses a tiered registration schedule. For the Kids K, early registration began July 1 ($10), general registration began September 1 ($15), registration closes January 15, 2026, and race day registration is available at a higher fee. For the 5K events, early registration began July 1 ($30), priority registration began September 1 ($35), general registration began November 1 ($40), December 25 is the last day to guarantee a souvenir T-shirt, late registration begins January 1 ($45), and registration closes January 15, 2026; race day registration is available at a higher fee.
All participants in the Kids K, 5K Challenge and 5K Run/Walk will receive event T-shirts and medallions (exact shirt size not guaranteed for late registrants). Prizes for overall male and female winners will be awarded by age group in the 5K Challenge. A course map PDF and directions are available from the organizers. Sponsors include Running Warehouse.
