Sombrero Fall Fata$$
The event is a charity timed trail run held at Sal Taylor Creek Preserve in Jacksonville, FL on November 21, 2026. It is presented as a 5 hour timed event that uses a roughly 4-5 mile out and back loop on flat, well manicured trails. The course is described as very wide with little to no sugar sand, shaded, and scenic.
Organizers will collect donations at the event and state that all proceeds will go directly to the Sombrero Outreach Foundation. The foundation supports runners and people in recovery by sponsoring race entries and supporting recovery related causes. The event will also collect nonperishable food items for a local recovery organization.
The event briefing notes an informal atmosphere with about 50 participants expected and on-site food available during and after the run. Food items listed include bacon, chorizo and egg burritos, burgers, brats, and nonalcoholic refreshments. A selection of race entry giveaways will be awarded at random to participants who are present at the finish; examples mentioned include complimentary entries to other Sombrero events across various distances.
