Sombra Antigua Wine Run 5K
The Sombra Antigua Wine Run is a chip-timed 5K run/walk held at Sombra Antigua Vineyard and Winery in Anthony, New Mexico on February 7, 2027. The course is run over two laps.
Registration includes a Super Soft Ring Spun Cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible portable wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib with chip timing, results posted online, and a pour of wine at the finish.
The event supports the local charity Nik’s Wish and offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each category. Age categories are divided by decade: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for an age group award. Age group awards are available only on the day of the event.
Minors may participate with a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but does not include a wine glass or a glass of wine. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate free and do not need to register. Walking is permitted. Dogs are not allowed on site because the venue is a produce and vegetable farm subject to USDA restrictions. Packet pickup takes place on race day only.
