SOMA DO Dash: The Phantom 5K
SOMA DO Dash: The Phantom 5k is a charity 5K organized by MSUCOM SOMA on October 11 at Michigan State University. The event supports Hearts for Henrih Alikaj, the American Heart Association, a scholarship in the student’s name, the Refugee Development Center, and MSUCOM’s Student Osteopathic Medical Association. The distance for both formats is 3.1 Miles and all participants receive a finisher medal.
The event is offered in two formats: an in person race on campus starting and finishing at Fee Hall, 939 Fee Rd, and a virtual option that can be completed anytime during the week of October 11 through October 18. The in person course includes four places where participants may need to pause for traffic; volunteers will be on course to guide runners. Parking is available in lots 30 to 33 near Fee Hall and at campus Ramps 1 or 3.
Registration details and apparel: registration fees vary by date, with a standard fee of $30 that includes a t shirt and participation medal. T shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by September 27; later registrations may receive shirts while supplies last. Race day registration carries a higher fee and does not include a t shirt. Special group pricing offers $5 off per person for groups of five or more. Race packet pickup for in person participants will take place the morning of the event at Fee Hall in room E105. Shipping of packets is available to virtual participants upon request.
