Solidarity Sidekick down Route 66 : Stop 10: McLean
Solidarity Sidekick down Route 66 Stop 10 in McLean is a 6.6K run/walk centered at the McLean Depot Train Shop, 266 Dixie Rd, Mc Lean, IL. The course follows a section of Route 66 through the village, highlighting local railroad heritage, depot landmarks, and Route 66 corridor features.
The event is part of a statewide series that honors those affected by ALS. Event features listed by the organizer include:
- In-person 6.6K run/walk through McLean
- Virtual 6.6K option
Participants receive an official series medal and a McLean Route 66 charm to add to the medal for this stop. Event shirts are optional and available for purchase during registration. The organizer notes a post-run celebration with the Spirits Run community and frames the stop as a community-driven meet-up that connects local history with support for ALS awareness.
