Rylie's Smile Turkey Escape 5k and 1m
Rylie's Smile Turkey Escape is a community road event held on Thanksgiving morning in Rehoboth Beach, DE, at Thompson Island Brewing Company. The event benefits Rylie's Smile Foundation and directs proceeds to children with severe lifelong or terminal diagnoses.

- 5K run and walk
- 1 Mile non competitive walk
- Kiddie K for children 9 and under
Event features listed by the organizer include a race souvenir for each registrant and a cotton long sleeve Turkey Escape shirt for the first 400 registrants while supplies last. Packet pick up and pre race live music take place the day before at the brewery beer garden. There is ample free parking at the venue and an option to have a shirt mailed to registrants who cannot attend in person.
Timing is handled with chip timing using the MYLAPS BibTag system and results are posted online. Awards include overall and masters awards, age group medals, turkey themed trophies and gift cards for certain categories. A turkey costume contest with prizes and a silent auction are part of the event program. Post race refreshments are provided by local organizations and beer and seltzers are available to participants aged 21 and older. Event policies note no dogs, non transferable bibs, and no refunds.
