The Chile Harvest Youth Triathlon offers a swim-bike-run challenge for kids ages 7 to 14 at New Mexico Tech in Socorro. Distances increase with age, from a 50-yard swim for the youngest to a 200-yard swim for the oldest. A USA Triathlon membership is required for participation.

Event Overview

The Chile Harvest Youth Triathlon is a youth sports event for participants aged 7 to 14. It takes place on the campus of New Mexico Tech in Socorro, New Mexico.

Course Details

The event consists of a pool swim, road bike segment, and grass run. The distances vary by age group, determined by the participant's age on December 31, 2026.

Ages 7–8: Swim 50 yards; bike 1 mile; run 0.5 mile.
Ages 9–10: Swim 100 yards; bike 2 miles; run 0.5 mile.
Ages 11–12: Swim 150 yards; bike 3 miles; run 1 mile.
Ages 13–14: Swim 200 yards; bike 3 miles; run 1 mile.

Logistics

The event will be held at the New Mexico Tech Swim Center in Socorro. The participation cost is $20 plus a $10 USA Triathlon membership fee.
