Snowdonia Trail Marathon Eryri
The event takes place in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park with routes that begin and finish in the mountain town of Llanberis. Dates for the 2027 event are 10 to 11 Jul 2027. Routes run beneath the peaks of North Wales and pass through Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert, Nant Gwynant and Pen y Pass. Selected distances include a climb on the slopes of Yr Wyddfa.
Available race distances include:
- 10K, 9.8 km
- Half Marathon, 13.2 miles
- Marathon, 27.2 miles
- Ultra Marathon, 56.6 km
The Ultra Marathon and Marathon are indexed by ITRA and UTMB. The terrain includes rugged trails, steep climbs and forest tracks with panoramic mountain scenery. On course support includes marshals, signage, energy stations and support vehicles. Results are recorded with chip timing and published live online. Finishers receive event mementos that reflect the location and local history.
An event village offers music, commentary, shopping, food, kit demonstrations and toilets. The event has family friendly elements, including a 500 metre kids fun run called the Dragons' Dash on the event field. Entry to the kids run is a suggested donation of £3, with proceeds going to the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team. Signs, registration and commentary are available in English and Welsh.
