Snowbowl 15K
The Snowbowl 15K is a trail race held at Montana Snowbowl with the start and finish at the base area next to the lodge. The course is a 9.3 mile loop that climbs for 4.65 miles on a mixture of dirt and double-track roads, reaching the top of the climb and the only aid station at Grizzly Chair. The return is a 4.65 mile descent on single-track known as Beargrass Highway, bringing runners back to the base area.
The course includes 2,150 ft of climbing and 2,150 ft of single-track descending. The route is marked and electronically timed with chip timing. Runners receive a custom race bib with their name, a Snowbowl 15K t-shirt, and a post-race lunch catered by Snowbowl. Big Sky Brewing beer or sparkling water is available at the finish.
Registration is offered in tiered pricing windows: May 6 to June 30, July 1 to July 31, and August 1 to August 8, with no refunds, deferrals, or transfers. The race field is capped at 250 participants. Packet pickup is available the day before at Runner’s Edge and on race day at the Snowbowl base area. The resort operates summer zipline tours that cross the race terrain and can be experienced after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
