Snowball Series - St. Charles (2027)
The Snowball Series returns for its 47th year in 2027 as a set of five winter running events. The series includes a variety of distances and stages in different parts of the city, beginning with the Forest Park 5K and concluding with a USATF Certified 1 Mile at Lafayette Square. One event title references a St. Charles 5 Mile race as part of the series.
Individual races are offered separately for a stated fee of $15. The series is described as intended to encourage participation through the coldest months and to promote health, fitness, and fun for people of all ages and abilities.
Distances mentioned in the event information include:
- 5 Mile (St. Charles race)
- 5K (Forest Park)
- 1 Mile (USATF Certified, Lafayette Square)
The schedule spans multiple events rather than a single race day, and locations are presented as a tour of areas of the city. Event descriptions note certification for the one-mile race and the inclusion of five distinct races in the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
