2026 Snowball Series
The Snowball Series returns for its 46th year as a five-race winter running series in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Presented by Running Niche and Saucony, the series adds a new 1M race at Lafayette Square. The event offers both in-person and virtual entry options. Series registrants receive a Snowball Series hoodie and a finisher medal for each race; virtual participants receive the same swag and medals. Series participants who miss a race may submit a virtual time to receive that race's medal, but virtual times do not count toward series point standings.

Logistics, scoring and awards
Series packet pickup is available at Running Niche on Dec 30; packets selected for mailing begin shipping Jan 2. Series participants use the same bib for the series; individual race entrants receive a new bib for each race. All finishers receive a finisher medal at each race. Series scoring awards points by age-group placement (1st = 50, 2nd = 45, 3rd = 40, 4th = 35, 5th = 30, 6th = 25, 7th = 20, 8th = 15, 9th = 10, remaining finishers = 5). Final series standings use each participant’s best four race scores. No on-course aid stations will be provided; participants are advised to carry hydration. Dogs are not allowed; strollers are permitted with placement toward the back of the field. Course marshals, traffic control, and EMS-trained staff will be present.
